Free fat calculator for dogs
For a healthy adult dog, the fat content in the meat should be 15 % - 25 %. You will not always have the opportunity to find the right meat with the right fat content for your food plan at your barf store. In such a case, you can use this calculator to work out how much meat you need and how much fat needs to be added.
Another example for the fat calculator: Your dog weighs 25kg. According to the feeding plan he should get 200g of muscle meat with 15% fat content. However, your butcher has only muscle meat with a fat content of 10%. Accordingly, your dog should get 189g of meat and 11g of fat. Here you don't necessarily have to weigh to the point, as these are only guidelines for orientation. So 190g meat and 10g fat would be ok.
